The famous Television reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ that airs on Colors TV announced its 13th winner on 15th February 2020. After being locked in the house of Bigg Boss for 13 months and facing challenging tasks, Sidharth Shukla bagged the trophy along with a cash prize of Rs 40 lakh and a luxurious car. The four runners-up won an adventure trip to Abu Dhabi as promised by Salman Khan.
Asim Riaz emerged as the first runner-up of the Bigg Boss 13. The top five finalists of the show were Arti Singh, Asim Riaz, Sidharth Shukla, Shehnaaz Gill, and Rashami Desai after Paras Chhabra decided to walk out of the show with Rs 10 lakh.
From the premiere episode itself, the ‘Dil Se Dil Tak’ actor Sidharth Shukla Bigg Boss 13 winner caught everyone’s attention with his good looks. He was always chosen by his female contestants when it came to sharing the duties in the house. It was fascinating to watch him flirt with co-contestants Devoleena Bhattacharjee and Madhurima Tuli. While he was nominated many times on the show during his stay, his fans saved him from elimination every time.
Bigg Boss 13 winner Sidharth didn’t have it very easy on the show. He was regularly teased and called names like ‘psycho’, ‘bhalu’ and ‘charsi’. During his initial days in the show, he used to get into fights with contestants such as Paras Chabra. He was asked to control his temper by the show’s host Salman Khan for his aggressive behavior while performing the tasks.
However, he proved to be a good friend on the show. From the first day itself, he has tried to save his friend Arti Singh. He also bonded with Asim Riaz and used to be protective towards him. They were also called the ‘Ram-Lakshman’ Jodi of Big Boss. But then, after a course of a few months, he frequently got into arguments with Asim when he saved Paras from finale nominations. Their hostility made a big division in the house of Big Boss, where some housemates supported Sidharth while the others favored Asim.
Sidharth also entertained the audience with his romantic chemistry with Punjabi actress Shehnaz Gill. They shared an adorable bond and stayed by each other’s side under all circumstances in the house. Their cute banter in the show attracted the viewers and their fans lovingly called them #SidNaz. They also have several fan clubs named after them on different social media platforms.
Sidharth shared a love-and-hate relationship with his former co-star Rashami Desai. They never went along while they were shooting for their television show ‘Dil Se Dil Tak’. Although they began on a good note, it didn’t last very long. Rashmi was often seen talking about Sidharth and his aggressive behavior. They fought frequently and had very strong opinions against each other.
The grand finale of Bigg Boss 13 was a grand affair with the show’s host Salman Khan performing to his super hit songs. Sidharth Shukla and Rashmi Desai also showcased their bittersweet relationship in the form of a dance performance. Sidharth and Asim’s energetic performance on ‘Tanhaji’ Song ‘Ghamand Kar’ was another highlight of the event. They showcased their ‘friends turned foe’ story through their dance performance. Asim Riaz and Himashi Khurrana, who found love on the sets of the show danced on the song ‘Mere Sohneya’ from the movie Kabir Singh. Comedian Sunil Grover amused the contestants with his funny mimicry of actor Amitabh Bachchan.
Before signing off for this season, Salman Khan has assured his fans that the next season of Bigg Boss will be unveiled in the coming seven months.
