Dear Comrade Movie: Storyline
The beginning of the movie shows a drunk Bobby (played by Vijay Devrakonda) feeling somewhat angry and hopeless. He is not able to fathom that his hitherto girlfriend no longer wants to be involved with him anymore. Suddenly we are transported into a flashback where we see that Bobby is a student union leader with leftist opinions, and used to tackle with with anger management issues during college. He beats up a local politician’s brother who was harassing a girl from the college, and had to spend a night in jail due to that. Later on he has a brief encounter with Lily and gradually comes to realize that Lily is in fact his childhood friend who has come to attend a wedding. Further,while playing a friendly match with his locality boys, Bobby discovers and is impressed by the fact that Lily is a state level cricket player. Gradually he develops warm and romantic feelings for her.
Post Jaya’s marriage Bobby expressed his love in front of Lilly but she denies any further steps stating the fact that they have different paths in life. Bobby feels disturbed and is not able to digest this fact. He tried to woo her and persists in expressing his love for her again. This time Lily melts but she confesses that she is scared of his excessive aggression. Bobby reflects on that and agrees to rectify it and their love story progresses forward.
Due to some unfortunate turn of events, things sour between the two love birds. Later when Bobby realizes his mistake, he tries again to reconcile but she asks to be left alone and not to disturb her anymore. She goes to the extent of telling Bobby that she doesn’t wish to continue any relation with him anymore.
